MY FATHER HAD 2 SISTERS WHO LIVED AT PONTGAMTERRACE IN THE 60S.THEY HAVE POSSIBLY PASSEDAWAY BY NOW.THEIR NAMES WERE CLARISSA BUTCHERnee BAKER AND IRIS BAKER.THEY ALSO HAD A BROTHERGORDEN BAKER AND IVOR BAKER(WHO WAS MY FATHER)HE MARRIED AND LIVED IN MANCHESTER.COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE LOCALCEMETRY OR CREMATORIUM IS FOR YNYSDDU

the nearest cemetry is mynyddislwyn church or danygraig risca. there are others so best of luck.

Hello.I am after the general whereabouts of "the Ranks" in ynysddu.My granfather "Arthur Hodges" was born there.The story passed down was that it was bombed during the war

The only "Ranks" I know of, is "The Ranks" at Abercarn. The rows of houses were built to house workers familys and had the luxury of attached outside loos, flag stone floors and a flued fire-place!

Hello the Ranks was situated between the black prince and the police station on the main road where now stands the old age bunglows.They were ruins before 1948 the bunglows being built in late 50 s early 60 s
